6/52: Pontiac Star Chief

I missed last week...but trying to do better going forward.

Every morning I drive by an auto repair shop on my way to drop off the kids, and for the past year I've noticed that they routinely work on beautiful old cars. Now I know next to nothing about old cars other than they look cool. I had my camera with me today so I stopped by before I went to work.

This is the side detail of an old Pontiac Star Chief. I have other shots of the body (which is not in great shape), but I like this one because I think the fork element is so cool. Where do you see this anymore? Probably just in junkyards.

The mechanic also told me that he expected to get a lot more vintage cars in as the weather got better, and that he didn't mind me lurking around and shooting. So perhaps my old "Rusted and Busted" project will pick up again...
