I'm still coming to terms with being back at work. For now I am in the office 3 days and home with Celia and Andres for 2, which is really a fantastic arrangement, and tomorrow I am being rewarded with an extra day off (thank you veterans).
I am finding it hard to switch between my two worlds, however. My leave still feels close enough that, on days that I do not work, I blithely slip into that pace of life again and do not think about my job, or email, or anything pressing (except my kids, that is). But on days when I am in the office the same old stresses rear their heads again and it's hard to remember that I ever had any time off.
The last few weeks of leave were fantastic, though. And I've found some videos to prove it.
Celia seems mainly content to spend the day on her tummy or in someone's arms, but we've been sitting her up more recently to see how she does. Her balance is getting better. Here's a clip from last week:
Andres is enjoying Celia's new skill and seems willing to help her practice:
They really do get along very well. Here, Andres reads a Curious George story to Celia. Warning: he takes major liberties with the story.
Andres shows off his literacy skills in this clip. He's got the alphabet down..but who's got time to remember the letters?
