It's pretty official...my crock pot is destined for the scrap heap. It doesn't stay on reliably anymore (definitely an issue for a tool that is supposed to work for between 6 and 10 hours at a time) and I have not found any solution to the problems that I am seeing (lots of lights blinking at me, timer resetting randomly, and the power issue).What's worse, perhaps, is that in the process of doing research on the problem, I found out that this was a pretty crappy crock pot to begin with. I had learned how to cook with it; it definitely ran hot, so I compensated by shortening cooking times by about 30 min to an hour and adding more water/veggie stock where needed. But what does it say about me that I liked this junker so much? It was my first one--a wedding present, at that--so perhaps I was too dumb/too nostalgic to know better.
Having said that, I am looking forward to finding its replacement and trying out some new recipes. And I'm looking for recommendations/reviews.
