The biblical raining and flooding seems to be stopping now, but it was still going strong this morning...meaning that heading outside for a nice walk was not an option. Andres, Celia and I did our best to entertain ourselves in the kitchen instead. I drank coffee, Celia played on her activity mat, and Andres made hearts and stars out of Play-Doh:
We finally headed out to the library to grab some books and to play with some toy trains. It was fun--Andres was on pretty good behavior and Celia slept most of the time. This was followed by another pizza lunch at Cappy's and then, thankfully, about an hour at home when both kids were asleep. I made the decision to forgo cleaning for the afternoon and instead focused on reading The End of Food, which made me never want to eat McNuggets again. Yay.
Dinner tonight was a quick (but very good) tilapia recipe from the Food Network, my new favorite website, as well as sweet potato fries and steamed vegetables. I didn't have all of the required ingredients for the tilapia covering spice, but I found that the basic combination of paprika, garlic powder, salt, oregano, and paprika worked very well. Now I have a mountain of dishes to clean--as well as two kids to bathe--so this night is just getting started.
I was also finally able to get a video of Celia rolling over...perhaps not her best effort (can't believe I'm saying that; she's only 4.5 months!) but here it is:
